Mr. Robert Chance has been teaching at Sacred Heart since 2008. A native of Detroit, he earned an associate’s degree in Liberal Arts at Cardinal Newman College and majored in Biology at Wayne State University. He went on to achieve Masters degrees in Religious Education (Notre Dame Catechetical Inst., Angelicum), General Science, Theology, and Physical Science (Columbus State University). He cites as his interests “the relationship between Theology and Science in forming a world view, Theology of the Body and Chastity formation, and studying so as to articulate better a Christian Anthropology. His hobbies include woodworking and projects around the house as well as gardening and landscaping, reading and watching action movies, playing pinochle and following the Tigers, Red Wings, Lions and Michigan Wolverine football. He and his wife, Coleen, were married in 1985 and have five children.
