Father Ronald Conklin, LC
Rector and Dean of Precandidates
I was born and raised in Michigan. My parents have 6 other children and are in the Regnum Christi Movement. In 2001 I entered the Legion, eventually to serve as Rector of Sacred Heart, Each day I enjoy every aspect of its mission to help young men become ready for mission. If you would like to learn more about our mission, meet me and hear the vision of our unique and blessed school, please check out: OUR APPROACH.
Father Thomas Murphy, LC
Dean of Apostolics
I was born and raised in Nova Scotia, Canada, into a large family with nine siblings and loving parents. As Dean of Students, I accompany the boys in their integral formation, encouraging them to give themselves to their formation generously, and ensure healthy discipline with a safe environment among the boys. This facilitates their growth in freedom and virtue. It is a joy for me to share in the mission of Sacred Heart by helping boys grow in their friendship with Christ so that they respond freely to His call in their lives.
Father Janick Caouette, LC
Spiritual Director and Assistant Dean of Precandidates
I’m from Dolbeau, Quebec, Canada and third of a family of 5 siblings. My life in the Legion began in the summer of 1999, when I entered the Novitiate of Cornwall, Canada. Currently I am working as the assistant administrator for Sacred Heart and vice-superior of our Legionary community. The part of our mission that most motivates me is the integral formation we offer and the reality of forming future evangelizers and spiritual fathers for the Church.
Father Paul Silva, LC
Director of Admissions
Father Silva studied Classical Humanities, philosophy, and theology. After his ordination in 2013, he was a professor at the College of Humanities and Novitiate in Connecticut. He is currently Director of Admissions and spiritual director at SHAS.
Father Christopher Gronotte, LC
Assistant Director of Admissions
I am from Fort Mitchell, KY. My siblings consist of one brother (who is a Legionary priest) and a younger sister, who is married with two beautiful daughters. I entered Immaculate Conception Apostolic School in 1999 when I was in the 7th grade and started my novitiate in Cheshire in 2004. As part of the admissions team, I travel a few regions of the country, visiting families and Legionary communities to try to promote the school and respond to any interest expressed in SHAS. Sacred Heart is a lighthouse of hope for the future of the Church, a true witness that the Holy Spirit continues to work and inspire young men to follow Him!
Father Robert DeCesare, LC
Assistant Director of Admissions
I was born and raised in Maryland, with three brothers and two sisters in a faith-filled Catholic family. In 1992, I entered the Legion. Currently I serve as the Assistant to the Admissions Director, including leading and directing camps, promoting vocations, and visiting families about Sacred Heart, particularly in the Midwest. It is a blessing to be involved in a mission where we invite young men to want to make a difference, change the world, and transform the culture for Christ.
Brother Joseph Geiger, LC
Assistant Director of Admissions
I started my vocation journey right here at Sacred Heart Apostolic School in 2008. Turning into the driveway here was the beginning of the best time of my life. Later, I entered the Novitiate and College of Humanities of the Legionaries of Christ, in Cheshire, CT and studied Philosophy in Rome. My prayer is that other young men may come to have this same experience that I have been blessed with, and have their lives touched by the love of Christ.
Kathleen Conklin
Director of Advancement
I have been married to Don Conklin for 43 years. We have 7 children and 11 grandchildren. My eldest son, Fr. Ronald Conklin, is the Rector of Sacred Heart. For 28 years I have been a Regnum Christi member and have created various programs for families, schools and parishes. Working at SHAS as Advancement Director is a joy, because I see the need it serves in partnering with families trying to raise godly young men. Each person is meant to freely discover God’s mission in their life and the school is expert at forming a missionary heart who steps out into the world with courage and conviction.
